EN : The works of Sergio Rojas Chaves can be described as inter-specialist performances that establish communication between humans, animals and/or plants. The hands that feeds is part of the « Tools for Bird Hospitality » series and consists of an outdoor sculptural installation. The work plays on the popular saying « Don’t bite the hand that feeds you ». Sergio Rojas Chaves carves copies of his hands in bread and places these food sculptures in public squares and/or sidewalks (notably at the Bellevue in Zurich), with the aim of hand-feeding urban birds without scaring them.
